As an IT’er it is not always needed to get a bachelor degree anymore. What is important is to keep up with the new technologies because IT always keeps evolving.

However certification has a strong presence in the IT sector.

Certificates serve as proof of your knowledge on specialization- or manufacturer-specific topics. If you get the chance to get a certificate, go for it.
